As a RPG lover I say, that good is more interesting mostly. More speaking to characters, more quests?

I am usually neutral. I usually play my games as a thief type character. I might steal something here or there, or gank some NPC guard if they have nice armor. But typically I ignore NPC's which look like they are wearing normal clothes, and have nothing to offer me. Like if I gank a good guard and steal his armor, I won't kill the others just because they drop "phat lewts" to sell. I only kill and steal what I need for my character at that time. Typically games don't work well for my character. Oblivion for example was horribly balanced against a thief type character when I first played without patches.

i generally play as good, because that seems to be the way most games are designed. usually if they have an option to be evil, you miss out on a lot of stuff.

In games like oblivion or Fallout 3, i still try to play as good, but I always want to steal everything, lol

that said I am way more comfortable playing the good side.

The problem you encounter there is that it would lead to a very different outcome, and they'd have to do a lot more work to actually flesh out the evil storyline. Maybe in the future somebody will take that plunge... but if a game has sequels, the storyline would probably be completely different between the two paths.

Evil.

There shouldn't be anyone alive (except me) when I finish my quests in a town/city.

Evil paths in games are generally nonsensical of the "kill everyone you meet variety." So instead of playing the game how it was meant to be played, you often just end up playing it like an action game, just killing everything. There is often little option to do evil but sensible things, and often the evil choices give you meaningless rewards compared to the good choices.

I guess in vampire: the masquerade you're kind of de facto evil being a vampire who lives by feeding on humans.

Of course, I always play a thief type character who loots everything blind. However, the penalty for being a thief is typically minor, and the penalty for stealing a spoon is the same as stealing a priceless artifact.

It depends on the game type, if its single player game or co-op I tend to be the devil reborn. If other characters in the game are player controlled I typically align myself to the light side. It just doesn't feel right just killing other players for no reason at all.

Haha, I just couldn't bring myself to do it unless they started it or were a higher level than myself. I even leveled 3 70s on a PVP server but never really PVPed on any of them outside of BGs/Arenas.

I'm not sure if the heart is in the right place or not but it seems misguided.
