So we have decided to build a new fileserver for our office. I have the task of configuring hardware for the system, which will be running windows 2003 (server). There are about 10 users that will access the database, which includes our invoicing software. The system will also be the domain controller, etc. Here is the hardware I have configured, your suggestions or comments are welcome. Parts are from Newegg...

INTEL "S875WP1LX" i875P Chipset Server Motherboard for Intel Socket 478 CPU (Dual LAN, Raid)
Intel Pentium 4/ 3.0E GHz 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology
2x Mushkin 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200
2x Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive in RAID Config

Plus CDRW, Keyboard etc....

Do you think this system would be adequate for our needs?

Do you need to worry about backups? Disaster recovery?

yes backups would be important...

I was planning on configuring the system for Raid 1, but I was considering getting a tape drive for backups, etc.
