Good e-mail domain hosting service

Objective: To find a good domain hosting company primarily for personal and then business e-mail hosting later with an idea towards running a web site. I tried to register with mydomain.com but get this: They have no screens to let uo pay and you can't even initialize variopus e-mail accounts because there are no step by step instructions. They have no phone # and only a post office box in Vancouver, WA.

I tried to register a domain but..

So, to cut to the chase, can anyone recommend a good domain hosting service where one is stepped though the process and one can easily set up an e-mail domain with aliases?

To have an email address with your own domain, you need to have
1. sign up for a webhost
2. register for domain name

There are plenty of webhosting packages out there.. just search here for "webhost" or something like that. Basically, you get what you pay for! 🙂

For domains names, the recommended ones here are GoDaddy and namecheap. I use GoDaddy myself and have no complains so far (because.. nothing happened).

PM Rossman - he can hook you up and will explain it to you. Right now he is offering free webhosting for Anandtech users. I am using his service and it is a breeze 🙂

Domain registration and web hosting are two different functions.
