Good drive for audio ripping (DAE)?

I would like to back up my CD collection but am having a hard time finding a suitable drive.

It seems most SATA drives have some sort of rip-lock feature that causes CD rips to take a very long time compared to older drives which didn't have the lock.

Does anyone still do audio ripping and if so what drive would you suggest?

Not sure how much work they're doing on current drives, tho'.
