Good download accelerators???

I am running Win XP Pro and am using a college LAN. I am looking for a good program that will enable me to download files faster. Right now, I occationally use GetRight, but I don't think it is any kind of download accelerator (unless there is some setting I don't know about). What programs do you recommend?

I use Download Accelerator Plus 5.. works pretty well.

if you only want to increase your download speeds... go to DSL Reports and use their Tweak Test to maximize your download speeds.

I agree, Flashget is so much faster than every other download accelerator, it's unbelievable. Just make sure to download an older version to avoid the spyware.

you can use adaware to remove the spyware. (well my adaware doesn't detect anymore spyware anyways). Its a LOT faster than any download accearators. Also, tweak your cable modem so that its faster. goto speedguide.net, they have some good stuff.

I use v0.95. It has spyware but you can safely delete it with Ad-aware and Flashget will still work. That is not the case with newer versions, although I suppose you could get dummy files or something. Too much work for me, though. 🙂
