good docking station/port replicator?

i accidentally posted this in General Hardware... my apologies for that...

I have a sony vaio FRV series laptop and a Mobility Elec. EasiDock 1000EV that uses a PC Card interface. I hate the thing. It only docks sucessfully half the time, when it doesn't dock I am left with a blank screen so I have to reset the computer and it only undocks successfully 2/3 of the time. I tried reinstalling drivers and it just crashed my computer so now I have to fix my OS. With all the time I spent on it, I could have just bought a new port rep.

So does anyone know of a good docking station? I would like to buy one from Sony that was built for this laptop, but I dont think sony made one.

does not exist? yeah, so far the mobilitys are the only non vendor specific brand ive found.
