Good dinner tonight! What'd YOU have?

Umm, no to the squid thanks. But I did enjoy a good dinner myself. Yogurt, cantaloupe, honeydew, black grapes, pineapple, and cherry tomatoes. 😛 😛 😛

man fried squid is absolutely awesome, and I usually hate seafood. though I could do without the tentacles. you are missing a lot if you haven't tried it.

sounds like my typical dinner: soup and fruits.

for tonight: lentil soup (turkish recipe found online) and one green apple.

Fried anything is completely out of the question for me. And if I want seafood I'll stick with the basics: tuna, mahi, salmon, swordfish, tilapia, shark, flounder, etc...

We barbequed today. Oh... my... god.. it was amazing. Steak that ate like butter, potatoes, and corn on the cob. 🙂

I got lucky tonight. My buddy brought in the leftovers from his daughter's sweet 16 party. Lots of fruit and veggies were left over, as was meatballs, steaks, sausages, and other stuff. I stuck with the fruits and veggies and let them have the meat products.

dude you should have told me, i would have been there

Well, I'm telling you now. We'll go again later this week before I head up to Seattle. I don't usually eat like that, but I haven't had pepper salted squid in years. I haven't found any place that makes it like that in the midwest or anywhere else. Good stuff indeed.

nothing too fancy, just leftover shrimp and rice.

my parents had a huge party last night before going away on a cruise this morning... I'm house sitting for them for the next two weeks, and I'll probably be eating leftovers from the party all week 😛

Where's the BEEF?

mmm...salt & pepper squid is awesome.

We had chopped bakers last night. Baked potatoes topped with leftover pulled pork I had made Saturday, cheddar, sour cream, and chives. Oh and steamed broccoli on the side.

I agree about the salt & pepper squid, but what you had sounds very interesting also.

Try it next time you have leftover BBQ, it's awesome with either brisket or pork. I recommend a very vinegary sauce on it as well. Good stuff!

I watched a special on Irish pubs yesterday on the Food network. Saw the Shepards Pie, thought it sounded good, so I made up a batch of it and had that along with a Guinness Extra Stout 🙂

I'm a good little Irish boy. 😀

haha...I saw that too (who am I kidding, the Food Network is on almost 24/7 at my house). I hate that host though, I just want to smack him he's so freaking chipper.

I made some Italian seasoned salmon yesterday for me and my wife. It turned out to be *really* good - I suprised even myself! 🙂

I had some baked chicken, jasmati rice, and a salad last night. Oh, and a piece of pound cake with some strawberries for desert. Dang it... now I'm hungry again.

My coworkers at the beef (ribeye, porterhouse, brisket), I ate the fruit and veggies. Yeah, I'm in Texas and completely out of ordinary, at least to the cowboys I work with. I eat beef maybe once a month and am leaning more towards vegan + fish every day.
