Honestly I would buy a used Canon SDxxx camera. Like an SD400 or something would be nice.

if it was for me, i would, but honestly, its for a prissy teenage girl, and if i said anything used, she would laugh in my face. ( i know, kids these days)

i really like the a600 but i think 4inch wide is pretty wide, and she wont be happy with that.

So you're a trick pony for a teenager?

Hand her the cash, walk her into a Best Buy, and let a salesperson take care of the rest. Who cares what she gets if she's a spoiled little tart. Lesson learned.

Sounds like she has caviar taste on a hamburger budget and needs a reality check.

well the we live, parkland Florida, kids get brand new ~$75000 cars, for there first car, and get a new car every year,so i cant really blame her, we have lived here before prices in homes went up drastically, so she realizes are family cant compete with the rich, but its hard for a teenager, to understand.

No, he's asking for a recommendation to give her.

Forget about picture quality, she probably won't know the difference between 3 MP and 7 MP. Just get something small and portable with good battery life, and probably a decent amount of memory for storing the millions of useless pictures teenage girls take.

As for a specific suggestion... I have no idea.

Something with a kickass warranty.
