Good defrag software??

Whats a good defraging software.

I use PerfectDisk 8.0 there was another one that alot of people recommended but I never liked it because the way it integrated itself into your computer and if you ever wanted to remove it you were screwed because you could not remove it EVER!

I'm always curious, when reading a thread such as this...exactly what makes one defragmenter better than another? I have my own opinion, but I would like to hear other's.

I have Diskeeper 9 and hate it. Wish I could find a good deal on PerfectDisk 8.

I believe that you are right, but that is the reason that threads such as that have less value for reference. When I ask about what program is better than another, I really don't care about what anybody uses, but why. Pick a topic about any type of software, and you will always get plenty of opinions about what is best, but none as to why they have that opinion.

Lately I've been using Power Defragmenter.

It offers various settings choices. On the Power setting it does a 2 pass, 1st pass it runs Contig, and 2nd pass it runs the Windows XP built-in defrag.

Very effective. Free.

you want honest answer why I like Diskeeper 10? Cuz it is faster and easy to use and very friendly interface.
