hey,

DISCLAIMER: before we start with the "do your own work" flames, I've been working on this telecom paper for quite some time now (not due for another week) and I need help finding specific resources. This is not a "write my paper" or "NEED HELP DUE TOMORROW" thread. Thank you.

I'm writing a term paper in telecom(munications) about online stock trading. It's a pretty broad and generic assignment, so for the most part it's been straightforward busy work. However, I figure that I should have some more course-specific information in there, like network design or something along those lines. The trouble is I cannot find any articles that discuss the types of network or hardware that online brokerages use. If anyone has any information relating to this topic, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Why not simply look up the type of network E*Trade and Scottrade use? Go from there.

An interesting link: This article talks about a new service yesterday that tracks how long it takes online brokers to accept stock buy orders. They should have some in-depth info.

great. that's the kind of thing I'm looking for. What do you mean by look up type of network they use? Where can I do that? Thanks.
