What do you guys think of this as a deal for about $2500?

It can be done for 910 pounds if you order it all yourself, before VAT. Gotta build and OC it yourself. So you're paying 135quid for not having to build/oc it yourself. You could get a better HD, a soundcard and 2gb of ram extra for that money though.

It would be a great deal for ~ $2,200.

Go get it!

Add 64-bit Vista and 2GB of RAM - unless you can find a cheaper RAM elsewhere.

I can put together a better Bill Of Material for about $ 1800.00

Where he is going to loose is Only One Year Warranty.....

Where if he builds it everything will have a 3 year MFG.

They are not putting an Operating system with it.


Ii always looked at it like if you build it your self you don't need tech support.


But yeah there is High density 2x2Gig that you can get the higher O/C easy, and can expand so there is flexiblity................

Well, he lives in the UK. I don't think that they can get parts at the prices we pay here.

But of course, I agree - once you've built one computer by yourself, there is no turning back.

Regardless of the prices LOL.

Hi Guys

Thanks very much for your comments. Justageek is right, I do live in the UK and our components are quite a bit more expensive over here for some reason

I do build my own systems, but I have never overclocked before. I have read the guides in the CPU section and reckon I understand it reasonably well (apart from the RAM overclocking which is a bit of a mystery) so I can probably give it a go.

Completely take your point about the HD, but would appreciate some advice as to some good ram to go for (2x2 meg sounds good) which will overclock nicely.

Other than that I'll probably stick with pretty much the same components (other than the PSU, which I may ditch in favour of the corsair 620W
