Staples has it for $190.99. Buy.com has it for $155.95. Call staples and tell them to pricematch it to $155.95, then use the $40 off $100 or more coupon bringing the total to $115.95. This includes free shipping. You can also combine the free inkjet paper or vivitar camera coupons with this and get more stuff for free.

EDIT2: Okay guys, ive noticed a lot of questions on this deal. To get the live drive II, which you can only get separate and not part of the card, is to send in your Live drive I to creative labs. You pay $150 for live Drive II. and theyll send you back $100. Total cost for the drive is $50, Cost for the Card is $115.95. You end up with a hole in your pocket of about $165.95. Otherwise, if youre content with Live Drive I, then the hole is about $115.95
the link for creative labs is: http://www.americas.creative.com/accessories/audio/live-drive/ and at the bottom of the page, youll see the links to upgrade drives.

Where do you go to exchange the Live Drive I for Live Drive II?
Staples? Creative Labs? Anyone have a link or telephone number?

Thanks.

Besides the Live Drive, isn't the Platinum card the same as the X-Gamer card? If not, please enlighten me.

to upgrade from drive 1 to drive 2 you follow the directions at Creative Labs website. (Buy Drive 2 for $150, then send your Drive 1 in and get a $100 reimbursement.)

Yes, the actual sound card hardware in the X-Gamer, MP3+, and Platinum packages is identical. It's simply the software bundle, and, in the Platinum's case, the Live Drive I, that makes it different.

Hey where exactly on their site does it say you can send in your old live drive for a rebate on the live drive 2? I can't seem to find it.

One other thing. How Much cheaper R we talking about at amazon.com

I have been watching this thing a lot the last couple of months...cheapest i have seen is 120 for 2 days on Buy.com with Shipping.

Lets find a cheaper price. I still gotta buy a diamondtron 22", plextor cdrw 121032 IDE, and possibly a new mobo.

I just make a call to the staples and seems like their system is screwed up and now they have to place ur order by hand with the phone. and moreover, after pricematch from buy.com, they won't let me use the coupon. is it true to u guys too?

hmm, i placed the order with someone on the phone on saturday with staples. They said that I cant use a coupon with pricematch, but i argued justa little, saying that a coupon was an incentive that didnt deal with their pricing, and the lady went ahead and placed the order.
