Looking to buy a barebone system.

Is this a good deal? I can get the 1Ghz one for about $10 cheaper. Will I see a difference in speed
if I were to downgrade?

1.2Ghz

Also, is the motherboard any good? Never heard of these ppl.

Are you getting the same motherboard for your 1ghz? Try finding out both brands/models and see if it's reliable by going to Anandtech's motherboard section. The $205 for that barebone system sounds like a Hot deal. I just got a 900mhz with motherboard for $300 just... about 4 months ago. Dang prices are going down FAST.

Yea...same motherboard. Im clueless when it comes to motherboards.
Now, I'm thinking bout getting a Duron instead. Don't know if I want to shell
out so much money cuz I still need to find a decent monitor.

This system will run Linux and maybe Windoze if it behaves
