Actually, yes my CPU temp is always lower than my system temp. It may be because the CPU has a good FHS on it, an intake fan above it from the PSU, and two outtake fans on the side of it. There is air going all over that CPU 😀 I have no clue why it is that way, thats exactly what both my BIOS and software say. I live in Phoenix AZ so its pretty hot here, so maybe thats why who knows.
As for the crash, I don't think it was because of overheating now. I was playing Command & Conquer Generals and when I rebooted to WinXP it said that the cause was my video card (ATI RADEON 9500 Pro) and that I needed to update my drivers. I tried playing the game again and sure enough it happened again (although not in the same spot). I just got my system up and running today, and I don't have my DSL hooked up to it yet so all the driver versions I have are factory loaded. Hopefully when I update the drivers it wont ever EVER crash again 😀
