Good cordless phone? mine keep breaking...

ok, now been through 3 cordless phones in less than 2 years....

is there any make/model (must have caller ID) that is good quality and not too pricey? maybe one on special?

any panasonic cordless phone 900mhz or 2.4ghz is good

if you have a walmart around and dont wanna look, you could pick up a cheap ge cordless phone for like 15 bucks

I have now realized the price of buying 3 cheapies, is more than it would have cost to buy 1 good one, never mind the headaches!

I had an expensive Panasonic 2.4ghz die a few days after the warranty expired. After that I refused to buy another pricey cordless phone. I've also had a Sony phone die really fast. I have a Panny 900Mhz that has lasted for 3 years and now I have a super cheap V-tech that's going strong and also a Motorola (just to see if they're any good).

stick with the Panasonic 900mhz models, they're solid phones.

I have two that I use and it's been running strong for close to 3 years.

I heard there were some reliability issues with the 2.4ghz models of panasonic, I guess it's a hit or miss.

One of the Panasonic phones is a Fax machine as well.
and the 2nd one has the digital voicemail thingie.

Get a Uniden 900 MHz DSS refurb from Amazon (or an Amazon affiliate). You get the long range and security of DSS for cheap, and it doesn't fight with wireless networks.

oh to clarify i didnt mean GE phones were good, i was saying they were really cheap.

i recommend Panasonic, and i have a Toshiba cordless phone which is awesome, but i dont think they make them anymore

I've had two Sony's crap out on me, won't be buying them again.

I've got a Uniden (900mhz) now and it's been great. I'm actually heading out after work to pick up another Uniden (2.4ghz) with two handsets and a built in answering machine.

I have a uniden here which I like, but I have only had it for 2 months....

maybe uniden.... hmmmm

I have a cheap Uniden that has served me well for over 3 years now, surviving a high speed encounter with the wall, and a run in with my car in addition to the usual wear and tear. My girlfriend has had a Vtech for several years that's been a trooper too. AT&T and GE are both garbage though.

I'd go with the Uniden too. The AT&T's were a gift, so I can't complain, but I am impressed with them.

Do you mean that your cordless phone interferes with your wireless network router? If so, than you needn't say goodbye to the cordless phone. You'll just need to use a 900 MHz Digital or preferably, 900 MHz DSS cordless phone, not a 2400 MHz.

BTW, never buy an analog cordless phone in any frequency. Any yahoo with a Radio Shack scanner can listen in from a distance and grab any personal information that you give out or even enter on your keypad.

My uniden 900mhz busted in less than 1 yr. I'm still using a Panasonic 25ch thats around 8-10 yrs old.
