Good console games for 3-4 people

Anyone know some good console games for 3-4 people? Me and my buddies are lost. We played lots of stuff in the past. Played the crap out of games like Super Smash Bros Melee (and the N64 version come to think of it), and Double Dash. Anything that was a popular, we probably played it. Except for the Halo games, we never had an Xbox. Currently have a PSX, DC, PS2, Gamecube, and about every emulator out there (1 for most systems anyways, and all legally of course 😉 ). Just thought i'd try and see if anyone could suggest something good. My friends don't like sport games much either. Also when i say games for 3-4 people i mean games we can play simultaneously, not any "switch off" stuff.

right right...forgot to mention we played all of the mario party games too, they all got boring pretty fast.

Two games I think are awesome party games are Hot Shots Golf Fore (PS2) and Super Monkey Ball (GC). Some of the games in Super Monkey Ball have simultaneous game play, like Monkey Race and Monkey Fight. Hot Shots Golf Fore requires taking turns for shots, but is still a great game to have.

Hot shots fore is fun, especally the pee-wee golf mode thing. We are all playing Tiger Woods on the XB360 ATM. Its wierd my friends enjoy playing those games, none of us can stand golf in real life.

*Disclaimer - Golf is not a "sport" so its excluded from the "Sports game" catagory* 🙂

Didn't like Smackdown much. But that's because I suck @ those games.

I'm thinking of picking up the new Gauntlet game, so my vote is for that.

me and my friends played the hell out of mario tennis on one trip to santa barbera, four people can play at once, and it was alot of fun, and the more wasted you get, the funner it gets. That, and drunken jenga, give it a try.

f-zero GX for gamecube is a great racing game. hard as hell in story mode (difficulty wise), but fun nonetheless.

great game (cant beat my times 😀). but dunno if multiplaya is that great

X-Men Legends, Gauntlet, Hunter: The Reckoning - all good "mindless beat/bash/blow the crap out of stuff" type games.

Dreamcast, eh? Dust off Chu Chu Rocket. 😀

Zelda: Four Swords is supposed to be great 4 player action.

I played the Japanese version with my roommates and it felt a bit more gimmicky than fun. It's a bit better when you're playing with 4 GBAs, but I didn't think it was that great of a game. However, I might feel that way just because I don't understand Japanese so I couldn't fully enjoy the Japanese version.

4 swords=great if you have the GBAs and link cables to play multiplayer. A heads up on Seven Sorrows, WAY to short and WAY to easy, go grab Guantlet dark legacy for ps2:Q which is much better for multiplayer...

Xmen legends 1 or 2 for any console is good fun if you're into that sorta thing. All of my friends would play twisted metal:black till our fingers were numb and... well.. black.

super monkeyball 2. never has a game generated so much noise complaints roflmao. me and roommates had so much fun w/ that game.

Fzero is great only if the other 3 players are as good as you. Non of my friends wanted to play me, since i'd kick their arses. It's nothing like mario kart where it's relatively easy to start off.

This is why gamecube exists.

super smash brothers melee
super monkey ball 1 and 2
zelda: legend of the four swords
x-men 2: apocalypse
mario party, cart, tennis, GOLF!

Probably more..
