I'm starting to look at colleges...and I figured a lot of the AT'ers have experience with good computer schools...so what are the good ones? I prefer a 4 year program in a private college if at all possible..but give me some insight on whatever you think. thanks
Where do you want to go to school. Do you want to stay close to home? Is going far away from home a problem?? If you specify these, it would be easier to mention some good schools for you.
I would personally go to USNEWS. As that would tell you, M.I.T., Carnegie Mellon, Caltech, UC Berkeley, Va Tech, and a little known school called Harvey Mudd College all have very good programs. IMO, anyway.
consider also what you want your emphasis to be. find out about lab availability, etc. and how the school itself is wired (dorms, etc.) see what king of internship program they have, too. some top schools are pure hot air (or are only so at the GRAD) level, while others really do deserve the credit.
