Good college notebook?????????

My cousin is looking for a good notebook for college for under $1500. Looking for soething that is reliable and would last about 4 years. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does she/he have any interest in gaming? If not I would assume battery life and portability would be their only concerns. Please add some more information about your cousin's intended use of this laptop.

just jumped the ibm bandwagon

if he wants a good solid laptop, t40/t41 around 1500 will be good


if he wants it for playing games and watching movies though he should probably look at some widescreen laptops with a good GPU
