Computer's audio ouput ----> Input on receiver

The receiver will take inputs so you can switch between inputs, and then also controls the volume.

through AUX? I have that running right now through my mac mini headphone port to my bookshelf stereo's AUX input.

The Mac Mini audio output jack is both analog and digital. Get the Mini-to-TOSLink adapter and you can run digital (surround) output from the Mac Mini to your receiver.

Use this.

Im going to be using a PC when I connect though.

What type of sound card will you be using to output the audio?

I haven't put one in yet. Right now its just on board.

Dunno if these have been suggested, but find a used set of Logitech Z5500s. Orgasmic speakers, although they retail pretty high.

FK

I don't like how the rear speakers still have a power plug =/

Is it hard to conceal the power plug? It would look kind of weird if I mounted the rear speakers high, and then had bulky wire coming down from them.

z-5450s have power plugs

z-5500s are speaker wire

I think speaker wire is easier to do unless you have some room setup where it's really hard to get wires to run from the front of the room to the back.
