Good camera under $200

My sister need a good camera under $200 as her's is dying. She likes the Canon's as that's what she has now, but I also heard the Panasonic's are pretty good. She wants something more then her 3.2mp and 3x zoom. Maybe something with HD video?

Chicks like small cameras, so I would stick to the Canon SD series.

The SD1100 is a good camera around $150; the SD1200 adds more pixels, and sells for around $230. The SD780 does HD video, but is well over her budget ($280). The SD770 and SD790 are also good options, and I believe the latter is on clearance at Office Depot right now.

Is a viewfinder necessary. Looking at some Panasonics like the tz5 and such but they don't have one. How hard is it to see what your taking in the light.
