I am in the market for a Camera in the sub $200 dollar range. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would give me the best bang for the buck so to speak. Thanks for any advice
I don't have too much technical knowledge of cameras, but i've always liked Canon but am open for suggestion I would like for it to have 8 mp or more and decent low light performance. Media format isn't so much of an issue, so any would be fine. Also I like the compact size like the Canon Powershot A590 IS, which is one that I was looking at. More/Less a camera that has some good features if I ever decide to try to use them, but generally speaking it will just be for normal picture taking.
if you like the A-line then by all mean stick with it. I actually don't know much about the A-series, but I do recall the better one are equipped with Image Stabilization and far superior sensors than the SD-series.
[just did a very quick search in dpreview.com]
it looks like the A720 fits you just right.
if not, I heard good things about the rather peculiar Canon SX100 too.
