Hi All,

I have a DELL 2.8 4600 with 1gb of RAM that I am starting to get into video editing with. Is this enough memory of should I go higher.

It has DDR PC3200. 400hz

What I want is good RAM that won't kill the budget!

Unless you are getting into very serious video editing, 1 gb shold be fine. If you are just messing around with home videos, I wouldn't upgrade.

However, of course 2gb with help the performance, and if you play BF2 or FEAR or other upcoming games, it is probably worth the money.

1 gig should be fine but you should also think of upgrading to 2gb in the near future just because it is starting to become the norm in computing these days. try and get the same model ram you currently have
