I got a Samsung 8x4x32 and it runs great. Most burning software (except Nero) don't list it in their supported hardware lists but I haven't run into a single problem so far with CDCopy, DDump, etc.

I personally really like the Imation 8x20. It is a Plextor drive, just much cheaper and comes with a SCSI card.
