Good BT Keyboard n mouse for mac

i would consider the apple keyboard, but not the mighty mouse.... i dunno what it is about it but i just dont like using it.

so i would like a BT KBM set, preferably with rechargable mouse unless battery life is pretty stellar in which case i dont mind changing batteries every few months.

there dont seem to be many around like.... maybes only logitech

I would recommend the Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard, but I don't like any of their mice. Also, I haven't had very good experiences with Bluetooth mice in general. I have had the best luck with RF models. Currently my favorite wireless mouse (ever) is the Logitech VX Revolution notebook mouse:

It's pretty expensive but it's an awesome little mouse with great battery life. Anything RF from Logitech would do well imo.

i'm using the logitech v270 with my mbp right now, it's not rechargable but i haven't had to change the batteries yet and i've been using it for like 6 months. it's a little small and lacks the side buttons tho, hoping the v470 adds those.

i would say get a logitech BT mouse and NOT the microsoft ones...the msft ones absolutely suck when connected to my gfs imac 20" core duo. it just disconnects randomly and refuses to pair sometimes.

RF isnt too desirable.... it'll be fine when im at my desk but on the move i have a usb hub on my monitor... i only have 2 usb ports at my disposal. i have a external drive and a host of USB pens. so i want to keep them free whilst out n about.


what about logitechs MX5000 desktop? i think its BT.. BT keyboard and mouse which is rechargable.

The MX5000 is a bluetooth kit, so that would work just fine. I personally got the VX Revolution (which I always want to call the MX Revolution [the larger one] since that makes more sense to me, M standing for Mobile, but I guess not in this case) which is just about the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. I barely use it on my MacBook when in OS X simply because the trackpad is great (2 finger scrolling and right clicking FTW), but I do use it under Windows in the rare situations that I boot into Vista (gaming and netflix streaming mostly really). The only gripe I have about that mouse is the lack of Bluetooth... the mouse costs $70-80 retail (you can almost always find for cheaper) and is made for laptops... if you buy an $80 mouse for your laptop, then you probably bought a laptop that cost more than $1000, and if that is the case then you probably have BT, and even if you don't have Bluetooth, the mouse comes with the reciever!

It just strikes me as a silly choice... maybe they decided that Bluetooth couldn't handle the laser tracking (sending the tracking data to the OS for the position of the cursor) data and so went with RF instead... i don't know, just wish it was bluetooth.

no i hate, with a firey passion, tiny mice.... its standard sized or nothing.

actually i am warming up to the BT mighty mouse, i had a look an u can reassign the buttons..... i just hated how every time i grabbed it the dash board came up because of where i had my fingers...but apparently u can just tell those buttons to do nothing

When using a bluetooth mouse, I assume the laptops internal bluetooth picks it up? So I wouldn't need to carry around a USB receiver?

Also seems like there aren't too many cool looking bluetooth mice out there (by cool i mean ones like the VX revolution).

Yea, the internal bluetooth will pick up the mouse.

VX Revolution is hands-down my favorite laptop mouse ever. You can find it for as low as $50 on Froogle. I would highly, highly recommend buying one. Skip the Bluetooth mice altogether!

the MS ones apparently don't play well with anything but their own BT receiver, for whatever reason.

Ouch! I've tried both a Radtech Bluetooth mouse and a Mighty Mouse and didn't like either. RF just seems smoother...

Yeah, RF is def. better. So far I've broken a wireless network USB dongle, and a wireless mouse one. Maybe I just need to learn to be careful.
