Those two essential shapes mean that you CAN'T possibly play on forever.

With removal of those shapes, there's no artificial limit on how long you can play on.

I figure you'd need approximately 15 Ss or Zs in a row to fill up half the screen.

There's a 2/7 chance of either of those coming up at any given time (Let's call the other shapes I, J, L, box, and triangle) so a (2/7)^15 chance of it happening 15 times in a row.

That's a 1 in 144,884,079 chance. One's hand-eye coordination will have led to a defeat long before such a long string of Ss or Zs shows up.
