Now that summer is over, my grilling will have to come to an end for a while. I can probably say that I have only had real "chinese" food once, and I couldn't even tell you if it was indeed chinese food, because that's what everyone here calls any food made by asians.

Does anyone have any good recipes that they use on a regular basis? I like somewhat spicy food, and I cook mostly with beef and chicken since that is what is available.

What are the differences between Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc.?

I highly recommend finding a good chinese restaraunt (one where chinese people actually eat) and having a Dim Sum lunch. No idea about recipes though, sorry.

What makes you think the majority of Asians grown in the US will know any recipes, let alone the chances an Asian posting on OT will know any recipes in general.

not sure if you like Korean kimchee, but using ripe kimchee makes a delicious and spicy kimchee fried rice.

I did once find human teeth in a chinese meal, they were easily identifiable as human teeth aswell. The braces were a dead give away. Pic's? Nope, this was years ago and I never did anything about it.

Strangely enough in numerous back street restaraunts in HongKong I asked for soy sauce and they didn't know what it was. When they finally got it they said "Ah, Japaneses sauce."
