I'd splurge and get this

So I've decided to get that set with the free cutting boards. I'll be cutting and slicing in style in no time 😀
Thanks for the suggestions.

Good choice. 🙂 I got that set (the early version without the steak knives) back in september. I take the sharpening steel to them once every 2-3 weeks and they're still as sharp as the day I got em. Forged, unlike sabatier's and henkle's low end sets so they really keep their edge better. Consumer reports also reported them as a best buy.

Oh yea, as with any set of knives, take care of em, and they'll last. Don't let em soak in the sink and dry em with a cloth after you wash em.

Check it out, I ordered these for $40 with free set of cutting boards, and now the price is up to $67 😀

amazon always does this with their prices. that set use to be $20 with free 3piece pan set.

You don't need a knife set. Buy a chef's knife, a paring knife, and a serrated bread slicer. The three should not run you more than $75 if you are on a budget.

Good choice - a decent set of knives will run at least $50, with a great set at least $100-$150. Full tang should be the bare minimum you get for a good set of knives.

Some Friday sale Henckels, might be worthwhile.

I am intrigued by the industrial knives though, might give them a try.

I messed up and said "universal" when I meant "Sharp Tip."

The Sharp Tip Fixwell knives are the ones that are sharp as razors and great for just about anything from the kitchen to the garage.
