Good, affordable PDA?

I'd like to spend as little as possible on a PDA but need something sleek and light. I do not need features other than basic organizing ones- I have an iPod and will not be playing games/music or video on the PDA. I also don't need it to have WiFi or any other web browsing features. It must be small enough for me to carry it on me at all times - pocketable along with my cellphone and iPod. Any suggestions? Cheap as possible means under $200 but as close to $100 as possible.

Thanks!

Even though its out of your price range, Ive been very happy with my HP Ipaq 6315 pda/cell phone since August 2004. Running Windows Mobile, it has every imaginable feature except globable positioning, which is a separate expensive add on. Since I have GPRS over Tmobile that really doesnt matter though, since you can just pull up mapquest.

It was $600 +tax. GPRS Internet plus the $39.95 /1000 min +free weekends and tax = $67 per month.

Something to consider is that you dont want to look like your walking around with a tool belt. ;)

I have a palm Tungsten T2 that I have had for 2 or 3 years. Its very small, and probably can be picked up pretty cheap on Ebay. You an find cheaper if you dont mind a used one.

I have a Clie SL10 that I'll sell for $40 with a full size folding laptop keyboard. Uses AAA batteries so you'll never buy a $20 lion battery. 320x320 screen

The Palm Zire22 or 31 both look like they would be fine for you. Check them out at a local store and make a choice. You can also get an Education discount through palm.com, if you click on the education store.

Buy it from an office store like OM, OD or Staples which has $20 off $100 coupons and get it for around $80.

Palm sucks but you want ghetto cheap. I'd up your budget to around $150 and get a used Dell Axim X30.

rossMAN has the right idea... Check in with the Delll Outlet and you can get MUCH MORE PDA for your money. I bought an X50 a while ago (not what you're looking for) and I love it. One of the X5 or X30 models can be found +/- $150.

How big are they? Again, I don't need an mp3 player or a video player - I need something strictly to keep myself organized. Wouldn't a Dell X50 be over kill?

you can get an x5 used for 40-80 bux now. problem is that it is huuuuuge compared to PDAs these days. i have used mine forever, and it's still going strong.

This was a very nice deal for $125 shipped. I just noticed it's the higher end X30 wireless with 802.11b & Bluetooth, nice

FS/FT is a Dell Axim X30 312mhz Pocket PC PDA with 64mb of built in memory. This is the wireless version that comes with both 802.11b & Bluetooth.

PDA is in excellent working condition with only minor tear & tear (nick here, tiny scratch here and there, etc...) Screen has minimal wear with only minor scratches you'll see when the PDA is off and under a light.

PDA comes with a aluminum Innopocket case (Case is cosmetically scratched up a bit from being in my pocket with change and things) and has been used sparingly for less than 6 months. Battery holds a solid charge, as this PDA was really only used to play solitare when I got bored on a few trips.

Comes in original Dell shipping box with manual, Installation CD, and power supply/charger. What are NOT included: (1) Dell Sync Cable, and (1) Original Dell AC plug which connects to the power supply (I've included a aftermarket one). I must've lost these when I moved last year, and simply did not find them. I'm sure you can find these for minimal costs on E-Bay.

For sale for $125 shipped via verified paypal. Will accept MO/Cashier's checks from anyone with some established Heat. Heat in sig, I'm not interested in trades at this time, but I may change my mind in a few days if this doesn't sell. Thanks for the interest.

$40/month + 55% taxes = ~67

Ross - you're amazing - I'd surely bump up my budget to $150 if wi-fi was available. Not something I need but the X30 looks good enough that I could leave my laptop at home.

YOU ROCK!
