Good 80s music?

Whats some good 80s music...i was playing monopoly and lost like hell, but had fun playin while listening to the few 80s songs i have...what are some good ones?

Guns 'n Roses - might be early '90s, I don't remember.

The Cult - Painted on my Heart

That song has got to be '80s.

lol, he said good, and 80s music in the same statement.
Bruce springsteen had some good stuff. not a big fan of most 80s music

Don't listen to the music snobs.
Ya'll probably think the 70s produced "music"...

80s music is the best.

I recommend New Order or Duran Duran.

Edit: Also the Cars.

Tears for Fears (Shout, Head Over Heals, Mad World) and Asia (Heat of the Moment, and a few others that I can't think of).

Well as one of those who grew up in the 80's
there was definitely some good dance music:
New Order
Depeche Mode
Billy Idol (some songs)
A-Ha
Eurythmics
Roxy Music
Bryan Ferry
Erasure
Yaz
And there were many remixes of then pop songs

A bit off the beaten path, you might check out:

Skinny Puppy
Front242
Ministry
Front Line Assembly
Severed Heads
Clan of Xymox
Bauhaus
Love and Rockets
Moev

And more mainstream:

Peter Gabriel (his older stuff)
English Beat
General Public
Gary Numan
Kraftwerk
Frankie Goes to Hollywood
The Police
Pet Shop Boys
Electronic (collaboration between Pet Shop Boys and New Order, very good stuff)
Peter Godwin
Echo & the Bunnymen
The Clash
Big Audio Dynamite
Shriekback
Men At Work
Men Without Hats
Wang Chung
Ultravox
Simple Minds
The Stranglers

The '80s produced some very, very good music, most of which is completely lost on today's youth and will likely be forgotten. Even most of the '80s retro stations don't play the good stuff.

The Police

Foreigner

David Bowie

Men at work

Flock of Seagulls

Joan Jett

John Mellencamp

Bruce Springsteen

Dire Straights

Damn there are so many....

Ausm

The Police, The Smiths, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Cult, Guns 'n Roses, Bon Jovi, Paul Simon, R.E.M., INXS, oh so many to choose from.

and how could you forget, U2 did some of their best work in the 80s.
