Good 360 Exclusives?

I used to own a launch 360, but since analog connections to my TV look, well, not so great, I purchased most multiplatform games for the PC or PS3. Eventually, after not playing it for a LONG time, I sold it off. Now that it's been over a year and a half since I last played the 360, I'm kinda toying with the idea of buying a new Arcade/Slim model for HDMI out and possibly picking up the exclusives that I might have missed. I *might* even go for the Kinect package, but that's a bit up in the air. Even before then, I only played the few games I had so didn't really pick up on the exclusives. I guess my timeframe would be within the past 2-3 years.

A few notes to take into consideration:
- I won't be subscribing to live or playing multiplayer. Probably not even local multi, but maybe.
- I'm not interested in Halo, GTA, or Gears of War.
- Only looking for exclusives that haven't later been ported to another system (PC or PS3)
- Open to any genre, though on consoles I usually prefer RPGs or Action/Adventure. FPSes I usually stay away from given my preferences in control scheme, but since I won't be playing online these are OK as well.

Thanks for the help.

Mass Effect 1, 2.

But Mass Effect 2 is coming to the PS3 next year. Still a bigger benefit in playing both on the 360 because your character and decisions you make in 1 carry over to the sequel.

There aren't really any great 360 exclusives imo. I really like Gears but you excluded that.

Lost Odyssey? Probably the best JRPG this gen but not great.

Earth Defense Force was fun but wasn't good from a technical or graphical stand point.

That's not a shooter, Probably Alan Wake...Fable...Lost Oddesey...Mass Effect...that's about it, other multi-platform games, FFXIII...Tomb Raider...if you were on PS3, it'd be a whole different story.

Both already available for PC. Given that he has a pc and isn't interested in the main franchises, I'd say the OP should give the 360 a pass. Forza 3 might be worth a shot, but then again Gran Turismo is finally being released. Maybe there are some Live games that are worth it (Shadow Complex), but I'm not sure if you need a gold membership to download them. I hope not, as that would be pretty stupid.

IMO there really aren't any great exclusive games on 360 with the exception of the Halo series (and Gears of War but i didnt like 2).

however all of the multiplatform games i prefer on 360 over ps3 because online play is better, usually it has better graphics, and the 360 controller is better than ps3 for the games i play online.

exclusive wise i'd say ps3 beats the 360 by a long shot.

n/m

xbox has a lot of console exlusives but are shared on the pc. thats the difference.. ps3 exlusives dont make it onto the pc.

I have a 360 but am questioning the move over to a PS3. I don't play online at all and the only exclusives that Xbox has are all shooters and I'm more interested in games that make me think at this point in my life unless the shooter is that good. At the end of HS or earlier part of College I really liked shooters, but as I've gotten older my tastes have changed.

Just bought Batman AA and really liking it. I also bought Fable 2 and hope it's as good as Fable 1 which I enjoyed. But the exclusives on the PS3 are looking more and more inviting because it seems like it was (before the move) catering to a much older crowd. Saw that Resistance 3 is coming out and would like to try the GOW series.

Kinda scratching my head over what to do.

EDIT: I really screwed myself over when I turned my desktop into an HTPC. Like the mechanics of a keyboard and a mouse and strategy games on consoles are garbage.

Sounds like PS3 is for you. If I didn't play online, I'd prefer it. As it is, I'm playing it more and more.

Thanks for all the replies, especially JoPh. Going through that list, I think I've probably played all that I'm interested in. With the PS3 and PC, I'm able to grab all the ports or multiplatforms, so the only thing that would warrant a 360 repurchase would be exclusives.

I think I could probably just ignore the reamining 360 exclusives that I'd like to play, since they don't really warrant a console purchase for two games and I have no intention of playing on Live. Especially so since I'm not interested Halo or GoW.

I have had a PS3 since they came out but use it for blue ray and netflix mostly. Looking forward to the future move games. the Sorcery game for the move looks very good. I didn't have the cash to buy the 360 but opted to buy it with some credit for the kinect mainly for the exercise program for my wife and me and he dance program for my wife.

I don't no what the Kinect has in store for it but I hope both do good.

I no I can do exercise with out the help of a program but my wife needs something to push her and draw her to it this seems like it will and the dance program is good exercise in itself.

Fable 2&3
If you like RTS.. Halo wars (not a shooter)
Mass Effect 1&2
Splinter Celll Conviction
A lot of reviewers have come out to say the best jrpg is Lost Odyssey (it took me over 60 hours to beat)
Alan Wake (great game)
I really enjoyed Too Human
My wife and I have been playing 3 Kinect games.

MOST important... My favorite.. Forza 3. I have a PS3 & played GT5 prologue / demo. I think the graphics are slightly sharper on the PS3... the physics and community are much better on 360!
