I hope this is the right place to post this. I have a new Mac Pro (HDMI) & Lion. Can anyone suggest a few good 27" IPS displays for a professional print graphic designer? Work 10 hrs/day so I need a non-gloss, true matte finish panel (without anti-glare film or coating). Only to be used for graphic print design – not for gaming, TV, movies or video editing. Also what native resolution can I find that's large enough for hours of text writing/editing without being interpolated, fuzzy or stretched. Seems the higher resolutions cannot do that. Thank you! You really need to move this to the Video Cards and Graphics forum as you'll get a lot more responses there. You'll want a good IPS panel monitor. Apple makes some of the best, provided that you have about $1000 to spend on it (plus additional cost for a displayport adapter if your machine doesn't have one).

Or you could try the peripherals forum, also the U2713HM got a good review here at anandtech. Here is the link.

There is no such thing as a 27" IPS screen with a non-grainy matte coating, sorry. Dell and HP has consciously decided to stick with the ugly grainy coatings.

At the price of the Apple 27" you could buy a higher res 30" from another manufacturer, right?
