So, after OCing my Opty I need an Opinion on a good 24/7 OC to be run well, all the time :p

1.) (what I'm using now) 250x10 1.375v, 1:1 with RAM at 3-3-2-8, HHT 3x

2.) 260x10 1.4v ish (not sure, not stable yet), 1:1 with RAM at 3-3-2-8, HHT3x (<-NOT STABLE...YET, don't know what the problem is)

3.) 280x10 ~1.45v+ (never tried it) and all the rest well I never tried this setting, but I just don't feel confotable having my CPU at 1.45v+ (possibly 1.5) 24/7, it just never seemed safe to me.

Well, based on experience, I'd choose 1 since it's stable, but if the people here at anandtech want me to puch it further I'd gladly do that, just how far would you go for a nice 24/7 OC.

Thanks :p

I concur. Anything 1.5v and under is perfectly fine for decent air cooling.

1.5 is totally safe. You might lose 1 or 2 years out of the 15-20 years the processor is designed to last, but who cares?
