My sister's birthday is coming up and she has requested some computer speakers to replace her generic HP's. She's actually has asked for my cheapo logitechs, and I'm looking for a replacement :D Desk space is a bit limited, I don't think I can fit anything bigger than 8" drivers.

Heck if I know, you're the expert ;) I'm generally skittish about eBay, but not completely opposed to it

I mainly meant about the size.

For $50-$75 you'd be cutting it very close to try to get a receiver/amp + bookshelf speakers, so I think a "computer speaker" set is pretty much your only option.

In the $50-$75 range for computer speakers, you have a lot of options, but I think if you can find a working set off ebay from a reputable seller, that's going to be one of your best options.

I see, the sub would be just fine, the satellites would be cutting it close, but I believe that will work, thanks for the recommendation.

There are several other threads within the past few months dealing with 2.0/2.1 audio setups for under $100 if you want to try to look for them.

I know a couple were in GH.
