Gonna go wireless... Opinions on B&M stores

I am going to hook up my lappy so I can roam 'round the house. I believe I just need a router and PC card to do this. Meebe another piece of cable too.
Anyway, the places I know of around Boston are CompUSA, Best Buy, Staples, and Office Max

Where would you suggest I try? Perhaps there is somewhere else I havent thought of.

Any brands I should look for or avoid?

First of all you should check CostCo because they have a sweet deal on a D-LINK WAP with card.

Next you should check your local Office Depot which is clearing out their Linksys equipment with discounts as great as 50%.
