I'm telling you!!! How much do you have to spend?? Looking at that list, you can afford a 1992 BMW 325i. Or maybe even newer

Some people don't want to buy a decade old, 80,000 mile BMW,which is basically what you would be buying in his price range.

Your total cost of ownership including repairs is consideriably higher than the rest of those cars because even a BMW will need some work at 80K miles

Old BMW's (around 90 and before) don't even have the same level of prestige and refinement that the newer ones have, it's almost like comparing 2 different car companies because they're so different. For the pricerange he's looking at, he could get a MUCH newer car in better shape, that's going to be more friendly to him if it ever breaks down.

I'd deffinetly take the 96 Teg GS-R, sedan if you can, in black w\leather --- drooool

2nd choice Prelude - because it a little ugly inside

Accord is too 2.4 kids
del sol is buckled
don't like mazda
mitsubishi is nice but Acura is better
nissan is ugly
MR-2 is 3rd choice

all those cars are weak weak weak

get a 1990-1996 300ZX Twin Turbo; it was on car and driver's 10 best list practically every year in that span

it will smoke the hell out of most cars on the road and will cost you <$20k

If you opt for the non turbo you will still have 222HP, and a badass looking/driving car

Hondas/Acuras are nice, my family has owned 4 of em, but if you're gonna mod a car, mod a fast one not a family/commuter car... VTEC is BS, you get very little power where you need it (off the line) cuz it's all where you can hardly use it (5500rpm+)

out of the ones u listed though MR-2 turbo would be best choice, 3000GTs look good but are heavy and overrated unless maybe u get a VR-4

I like the way bigd thinks! I usually always reccoment the 300ZXTT, but they're expensive. If you can go the extra mile, look at one of these bad boys. 300HP Can be very fun, and will spank every car on your list except the 3000GT Turbo. You can't beat the looks of a 300ZX either, yum :)

Yeah BigD is right. Try and find a used 300Z. They should be in your price range.

(This is coming from an ex-1997 Prelude SH owner.)

To answer some questions i'm 23, single, paying rent =( so i need a decent car that can get me to work and skool. I want to spend less then $10,000 cuz that all i got. Right now i think i'm leaning toward the 240sx cuz it's Rear wheel drive and i can dump a turbo engine in it and it shares the HICAS suspension.

Get an Accord, it's a well-rounded vehicle, and your insurance rate won't be too painful. Personally, I like the Subaru station wagon with all wheel drive.
