It seems I found a 2800+ Sempron with mobo for $115 shipped. It's some syntax mobo.

PLEASE GOD NOT SYNTAX

I ordered a syntax mobo once, worst experience of my life. Thing was DOA and it was literally impossible to get a hold of them. If I wasn't so lazy I would have filed a class action lawsuit against them. Plus they just suck in general.

Sounds like a good deal, though a mobile XP with a better board would be better for overclocking, and an A64 might be a better investment still ($190 gets you a 2800+ and a good 754 board). Even if your CPU is optimally run with PC3200, that should be no problem to reach with XMS PC2700.

I just got the pc2700...just a shame I don't max my performance by using a pc3200.
