Anyone else watching this? Two two hour episodes have aired so far and I think it's pretty good. It's about an Italian mafia family. I don't know how realistic it is. The cinematography seems to use real urban settings so you get a very dark, gritty feel to the show which I like. The lead mafioso seems like too much of a stereotype but at the same time, you can still buy it as a realistic portrayal. It's hard to decide.

I like the performances from the lead characters and most of the supporting cast. Some of the supporting actors are quite good but there are also weaknesses. Overall it's interesting and engaging. But beware haters of subtitles. There be dragons here.

Technically, it's not about the Mafia, because the Mafia refers to La Cosa Nostra from Sicily, only. La Cosa Nostra from Napoli is the Camorra. And they are much worse, tbh. Likewise...there is no such thing as the Russian Mafia, or the Chinese Mafia, or whatever. There is only one Mafia. :colbert:

Huh. I guess mafia is the Xerox or Ghost of the gangster world. Wait. Can I still call them gangsters if they aren't OG? (kidding :) )

DVR is a must. Loaded with commercials. Two episodes in and I like it. Shot in Italian so has English subtitles . You have to be pretty quick with some of the exchanges to enjoy the visuals and read the subs at the same time . Episodes are long. Maybe 90 minutes or more.

Mad Dogs was good on Amazon. Free with Prime. Not really about the mafia, more about drug dealers, but a famous actor from the Sopranos stars in it.

It's a way to replicate an entire hard drive. Not a big deal on its own but I think its claim to fame is being able to do it over a network. I think it was originally a Symantec product.
