Gollum lived in panama

If the body was picked apart by buzzards, did the teens take the pictures? This story doesn't make much sense.

It's the same sort of thing as that dead raccoon that washed up awhile ago on some beach, and got some coverage as a mystery animal never-before-seen.

This looks like a sloth that spent quite awhile in the water.

You're right. It has sloth claws.

Was one of the names oldsmoboat?

Who is oldsmoboat?

The greatest trick oldsmoboat ever pulled was to convince the world that he didn't exist.

Is he like this critter? Sleeping naked on a rock with a bottle of Patron in hand...

Animals often lose their hair after their dead bodies have been in water for some time. This is often the case with the "OMG an alien creature discovered" story is released.

yup, plus they get all bloated from being in the water. Sometimes tough to see what creature it actually was before being disfigured in death.

Also of note - the hairless dogs always shown in photos as being the chupacabra or whatever. Just wild dogs with bad cases of mange.
