Wow. I went up to my local target and everything was about twice that much. Basically, it was all 50% off the original price. Yours appear to be 75% off. I might take the two packs of balls back tomorrow and wait for them to go cheaper.

Most bags were by Knight and were marked $34.95 but came up $24.95 on the scanner (does that feature rock or what? ). I decided to wait, since there were a couple dozen left. Tuesday is the next round or discounts, right?

I just decided to get back into golf (ie. go more than just my annual birthday outing alone and a couple trips to the range each year). So I am not up on what the hot brands are on balls. I grabbed the Maxfli XS tour ($8) and the Wilson Hyper Titanium Tour Pro ($7). I decided to go with the slightly "softer" ball with more feel, since I think I can sacrifice a few yards for accuracy, at least against my friends. My clubs are all 20-40 years old, but when I use a new driver, I can hold my own distance-wise. I want to reduce the late (unintentional) fade and have better iron control. Hopefully the balls I'm trying will be a good fit.

I've used the Smartcore (free sleeve in the mail). How do the HTi's compare? The Smartcore (not the Pro ones) were $12.49 for a 24 pack. Almost bought those. Definitely will if they go 75%. Hell, I might just clear out the shelves for the prices you got!

Now, I need a hot deal on some clubs! Target had one lousy set.

I believe that the next round is on Thursday. Se carmann's post about 7 posts back. Not all stores are on the same schedules, however, so your store might not mark them down again until next week or the week after or never.

Yeah, it certainly varies by store. I went up to another one 25 minutes away and they had NO golf stuff on clearance! :Q So I'll keep my 1/2 off stuff for now!

Does anyone know for sure if they will cut the prices any more? I want to pick up one of those Knight stand bags for $24.98, but I sure wouldn't mind if they dropped even lower. With spring coming up, when will they end the clearance? I don't want to wait until it's too late either.

I haven't seen them any lower than the 50% off at my local stores. Found one across town this past weekend where every ball on clearance was cleaned out. But at the same price, they remain at my local store. Strange.

I might just grab one of the Knight bags. I like the price. I was just hoping to get one of the other bags for cheaper.

I've been able to get no verification from the local store that they will go down any further.

In the Philadelphia area, those bags were down to $12.49 as of this past Thursday (2/6)

Man! I guess I'll stop tonight after work. But I know my store will still be 50% off. We never get the killer deals. Except the Caller ID globe, which I wasn't too impressed with.

I spend way too much time driving to and from Target each week.

Damn. They marked the golf stuff down to 75% off sometime between Thursday night and Sunday morning. All that were left were the sleeves of three Wilson Smartcore balls. I snapped up all nine for $1.24. I used those last year (free sample on AT HD!) and really liked them. And I found a box of some sweet Stratas back in with the regularly priced merchandise (they had moved the clearance down a few rows). Got one of the better Knight bags for $12.48, though, so that's cool.

Now I still need clubs! Who's got a hot deal on clubs?! I'm thinking it might be better to build my own. Any recommendations?

I went into my Target on Sunday with the receipt for the bag and putter I bought on Feb 3rd. They did a return on the putter and the bag, then rang them up at the lower price. WOOT! I walked out of there 25.61 richer!

Did anyone pick up the club sets they had? I was at a store yesterday that was still 50% off and they had some decent-looking club sets. Forged woods and irons. Not brand name, though. They were about $70. I'd be wililng to risk it for $35.

Nice-looking Dunlop putter marked at $29.99 for ~$6.50
Graphite-shafted driving iron for $6.24
Lob wedge (I think it's 59°) for $3.24
Two-way chipper for $3.24
Three 6-packs of Wilson balls for $1.74 ea
Top-Flite "Baja" stand bag for $19.99 (orig. $80, pretty nice bag)

Both stores I went to had very little left.

I just returned that bag to the Dublin store on Tue. I had bought it for $17.5, but decided to keep the Knight bag I got for $25.

Funny you should mention that...I was looking to buy the Ultra Women's package set (originally 169.99 and marked down to 119) but yesterday, I found that it had been remarked and put back on the shelf. The SKU was for the NEW Woman's Power Pack club set. And the price? 169.99!

I took the clubs to the front, and after a lengthy discussion with the manager (basically saying it kinda was false advertising to try to pass off last year's clubs under a SKU for THIS year's clubs) he marked them down to 99 bucks.

ALSO...There are new DU Ultra distance balls there, 18 for 7.89!
