No amount of nudity could have saved Bolero or Color of Night.

While I sometimes disagree with the Razzies picking one terrible movie over something that was even more terrible, I don't recall ever liking one of the winners. To get into the final five a movie generally has to be really really bad in many different ways.

Fire Down Below was nominated? That was an awesome movie! Okay, I was working as an environmental regulator at the time and what regulator wouldn't want to watch a movie about a gun-toting, kick-boxing EPA agent and day glow pollutants straight out off the set of Ghost Busters?

Ford Fairlane was silly and funny. Not even the worst movie ever.

Color of Night started off as an OK crime thriller but got stupid fast. Shame too cuz it had a decent set of actors (Brad Dourif, Lance Henrickson, Scott Bakula) who had plenty of horror/thriller experience. Jane March overacts, and Bruce Willis underacts. Both at the same time.
Its not a pleasant experience.

also, much of the full nudity was body doubles, not the main actors.

It was kinda bad when you consider the source material. Deviated a great deal from the original theme of a poor bastard returning from Vietnam and not fitting into society.

really? wonder why Jane used a body double in some scenes?
she was full nude and u saw her from head to toe in the movie (and she's not shaved).
hm.. maybe the sex scenes?

She definitely showed her boobs all over the film, but the under water pool sex scene was a double for both of them.

BUT, she shows her mound in the bathtub later. Makes no sense.

Battlefield Earth.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlefield_Earth_(film)

"A million monkeys with a million crayons would be hard-pressed in a million years to create anything as cretinous as Battlefield Earth. This film version of L. Ron Hubbard's futuristic novel is so breathtakingly awful in concept and execution, it wouldn't tax the smarts of a troglodyte."

This, so this. In fact, the Eternal Raspberry is awarded to this movie, and no reassignment is possible.

1986-tie between Howard The Duck and Under The Cherry Moon. IMO neither deserved this award. Howard The Duck was a B movie and a goof-too many expected too much out of it I guess. I just caught Under The Cherry Moon recently on TV and it is the only Prince movie I've ever considered watchable. It's filmed in black and white and in a 1930's style and not at all "Princey"-again I think it was a matter of the intended audiences expectations.

Neither is a classic but both were reasonably enjoyable watches.

And Blair Witch Project was exactly what it was intended to be. I guess people that got sucked in by its huge promotional campaign got upset.

I had two very different experiences with The Blair Witch Project.

I saw it on the 2nd day it was in theatres, when the story around it was that it was actual footage that someone found and cleaned up from when some kids went missing in the woods. I thought that was pretty cool, so went and saw the film. At first it's all completely plausible, then odd, then scary, then wtf? But it was supposed to be real? That was pretty messed up... Anyways, I enjoyed it.

Then several months later, my parents rented it and I watched it at home with them after everyone knew it was all just a movie. God it sucked.

I just watched all the earlier Star Treks this last week or so. And The Final Frontier the other day. I remember it being not so good. But this time I really liked it. It actually had great great picture quality. But the sound was TOP NOTCH. I was blown away at the quality of the sound. Not just the mix but the actual resolution. Somebody took great pride in that sound quality and their job when they did that one. Listening on an extremely revealing system really enveloped me into the movie and world. Saw it in a whole nother way.

I never saw the Blair witch project. But I will forever hate that movie and it's makers for kick starting a whole new genre of crappy filming and editing styles that would take years and years to work out of the system. And still crop up from time to time.

Any Movie Starring Kevin Costner

I'm sure you are referring to Waterworld & The Postman - Waterworld actually got pretty decent reviews but was in the spotlight for massive budget overruns.

The Postman had a few decent scenes but was terrible.

Costner has been great as an Actor & Director at an overall career level.

They definitely got a bunch of it right this year:

'Movie 43,' Will and Jaden Smith top Razzie Awards

It's once again time to recognize the worst of the worst in film with the industry's anti-Oscars.
The 34th annual Razzie Awards celebrated the year's most terrible movies Saturday in Los Angeles, handing out pseudo-accolades to those who helped make them.
The bizarre Movie 43, named worst flick of the year, and the sci-fi futuristic After Earth, starring father-son duo Will and Jaden Smith, were the night's big winners, each garnering three of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation's prizes.
The short, raunchy interconnected stories that make up Movie 43 took home worst director (awarded to the 13 people who directed it) and worst screenplay (awarded to the 19 people who wrote it). The film also beat out After Earth, Grown-Ups 2, The Lone Ranger and A Madea Christmas for the "top" prize.
The Smiths didn't fare too well, either. Jaden, 15, was awarded the worst actor Razzie, and his famous father picked up the supporting actor award — and to top it off, the team won worst screen combo.
Tyler Perry pulled off a feat, winning worst actress for his drag role in A Madea Christmas, while Kim Kardashian anchored the individual acting categories with the worst supporting actress win for Tyler Perry's Temptation.
And last year's infamous box-office bomb, The Lone Ranger, snagged the worst remake/rip-off or sequel award.
But there was positive news for Razzie regular Adam Sandler; he and his Grown Ups 2 walked away empty-handed this year, making it the only worst-movie nominee that failed to pick up any hardware.
Votes for eight of the nine Razzie Awards were cast online by about 800 of the foundation's members in 47 U.S. states and 15 foreign countries. The worst screen combo award was decided by votes from more than 80,000 RottenTomatoes.com users.

After Earth is by far, one of the worse movies I've seen in many years...with some of the worst acting I've seen.

Movie 43 won for worst picture this year. well deserved, i couldn't even finish it.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/grown_ups_2/news/1929786/2014_razzie_awards_winners/

I actually really enjoyed Movie 43 for what it was .. a bunch of crude dick jokes for late night comedy. And I've seen Grown Ups 2 (unfortunately) as well, as my gf and bet on who would quit first (again, unfortunately we both lost) and it was far, far, far, far worse that Movie 43. It is, by far, the worst movie I have ever seen and I tolerate a lot of really awful movies.
