golden orb on Epox 8KTA+(Duron 650?)

can the orb be used on the MB?, normally orb is for Celeron. Has anyone modified to work?

I think I may have responded to a similar post elsewhere but... here goes...

Chrome Orbs are known to do bad things to socket A CPUs. If you have your mind set on using an Orb, use the Chrome Orb instead. The Chrome Orb is designed for socket A's, so there is a smaller chance of destroying your CPU with it.

Don't use the Golden Orb, it'll crack the die. Use either a Chrome Orb or Super Orb. I've got a Super Orb and socket A shim (call me paranoid), but I had to move 2 capacitors. Email me if you want pictures.
