Golden Corral buffet restaurant

Ate there just once (dinner) and it was a few years ago. The only one around here is a half-hour drive and wondering if it's worth it. I don't care that it's all-you-can-eat if everything is crap.

Old people food.

Yup. Last time I was in one (Evansville, IN), there didn't seem to be another person there under 65. Looked like a retirees convention.

The food was OK, nothing great.

I went for lunch (so I didn't get any steaks), but the food was only marginally better than the food we ate at the places on-campus in college. The mashed potatos (my measure of a good buffet) were about 50/50 pre-made flakes and actual potatos if I'm remembering correctly. The desserts were very good however.

That I can agree on. Everything else is okay, but nothing spectacular to write home about. I surely do love buffets.
