GOLDBERG'S COMING BACK!!!

Goldberg now a free agent, but still one problem..he's injured. He can sign with the WWF tommorrow but it doesnt mean hes going to show up right away.

Theres been numerous attempts to buy him out before but they all fell through, as recent as the nwo return. Hogan suggested he return with Goldberg instead of Hall & Nash. Besides even if he comes in you know theres a HUGE chance WWF (rather backstage politics) will blow it with him. Theres a lot more to this development...
 
I'm not a big Goldberg fan. HOWEVER! It would be really cool to see Brock Lesnar go undefeated (and beat some quality guys too). Then a few weeks before Summerslam, have Heyman say that "Brock will take on all comers at summerslam" and that it is an open challenge to anyone in the world.

Have him go to the ring at sumerslam and have a few guys come out and get destroyed. Then after beating a few, he and Heyman start to gloat and raise their arms, then when their confidence is highest, Goldberg's music hits........
 
I don't like wrestling that much, but did watch it when Goldberg was undeafted. Once Goldberg left I stopped watching.

I'd probably start watching again if he does come back.

Huge mofo. His current angle is winning matches by making opponents go unconscious through sheer power. So far he's like 4-0 I think. (Matt, Jeff, Matt again I think, Stasiak) He manhandled Rikishi before the roster split. I mean manhandled. He's a total monster

I really hope he doesn't sign with the WWF at all. Unless they job the crap out of him and make him wrestle on Metal or something and lose to Crash Holly. Or bring back Gillberg and have him crush Goldberg.

Vince gave a ton of money to get Hogan/Hall/Nash, and he will do the same for Goldberg probably. The WWF has already tryed to buy out his contract before, but Goldberg wouldn't sign cause he would lose money.

They are already pushing Brock Lesnar to be the next Goldberg. Sure this guys is huge and really strong, but the "no one can beat me" angle only goes so far. What was Goldberg? oh wait thats right he lost his first match! I think it was Piper that beat him on the old WCW Sat. Night program. Then the WCW decided to push him as the unstoppable monster. Because noone knew who he was until he started this gimmick everyone forgot/didn't know that he had already lsot. After he went a Million to 0 they let Nash beat him with the help of Hall.

Ok I know its not real, but seeing Hall shock the crap outta Goldberg at Starcade was great! Hall needs that thing again 😀 It sure wouldn't hurt him since he is stuck with XPunk and Big Slow.
 
Over the past few days, former WCW Champion Bill Goldberg negotiated a contract buyout with AOL/Time Warner making him officially a free agent.

Under most circumstances, he would not be doing that unless he had a desire to sign a contract with a company and return to work. As much money as he was making doing nothing, one would assume he has big plans lined up for the future.

Goldberg had just over a year left on his contract, and AOL/Time Warner pushed for Goldberg, the only wrestler from WCW left under contract, to accept a buyout. The buyout was negotiated just over a week ago and the paperwork was finalized on Monday. In an effort to finally clear the books of former WCW wrestlers under contract, AOL/Time Warner gave Goldberg nearly his full payment.

WWF represenatives had talked to Goldberg early last summer in hopes of reaching an agreement for him to return alongside Hulk Hogan. However, the money offered to Goldberg at the time wasn't enough for him to settle for less than his full guarantee with AOL/Time Warner.

With The Rock's movie career seemingly taking up more of his time than wrestling in the upcoming future, the WWF has a greater sense of urgency to bring Goldberg in to strengthen the SmackDown! roster. Now that Rock won't be working as regularly with the WWF, a considerable amount of money is open to spend on luring Goldberg to the WWF as they consider him a "difference maker."

There have been no recent talks between Goldberg and the WWF lately, but Goldberg mentioned on a radio show that although he doesn't approve of some of the content in the WWF, he has no personal problem with Vince McMahon and would be open to working for him if the price is right.
