Yes, it really looks like that, there is no serial number. All the ink is black.

Id say its a fake.

It's fake. I refuse to see how the same Lincoln picture they use on present day money would be on a doc dated 1882.

in your original pic it looks like its been laminated (look in the corners)

there is no way a note of that age is going to be laminated or has some sort of protective plastic over it.
