Going Vegas Sept '21

So far, 7 lads have committed and 3 are potentials. Booked the Venetian.

Hopefully this corona has fucked off by then.

First time for me - going to be messy.

Going to Vegas? Be sure to bet on the WuFlu going away by then...
People are saying it will...really, MANY people are saying it...

Vegas - yeesh. Go find someplace better to enjoy your yourself rather than hanging out in a filthy overpriced mecca that attracts the dregs of society from every fly-over state.

I have no idea why people are so enamored with Vegas, it confounds me.

According to the commercials, like the one with Wayne Newton, Vegas really only cares about you, they want you to come back. So don't take any money and see if that's true.

Here's a look at the Las Vegas resorts mentioned in the report and the number of exposures that may have happened there in August:

  • Cosmopolitan: 304
  • Bellagio: 153
  • MGM Grand Hotel: 133
  • The Venetian: 89
  • Caesars Palace: 86
  • Aria: 72
  • Mandalay Bay: 67
  • Wynn Las Vegas: 65
  • Paris Hotel: 53
  • New York‐New York: 51
  • The D Casino and Hotel: 45
  • Flamingo Hotel: 41
  • The Orleans Hotel & Casino: 36
  • Harrahs Las Vegas: 36
  • Luxor: 36
  • Excalibur: 34
  • Circus Circus: 30
  • Golden Nugget: 28
  • Red Rock Casino Resort Spa: 24
  • Boulder Station Hotel & Casino: 22
  • The LINQ: 20
  • South Point Hotel Casino & Spa: 20
  • The Signature at MGM Grand: 19
  • Harrahs Laughlin: 19
  • Tuscany Suites & Casino: 18
  • Golden Gate Hotel & Casino: 16
  • Treasure Island: 13
  • El Cortez Hotel & Casino: 12
  • Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino: 12
  • Bally’s: 12

If you aren't joking and are from the UK, I have no clue why one would fly that far to go to Vegas during a pandemic. Hell I wouldn't fly to Vegas from there outside of a pandemic and I think Vegas is great. It's just not great enough to have to fly that far lol.

I didn't see much literal garbage when in Vegas but I saw the most white trash I've ever seen in one place before.

Not ideal - if it's still a car crash this time next year (which could be very likely), then i won't be going - that's always been my caveat to the group.

10 hour flight - it's going to be shit. Not a fan of long flights.

It's a good crowd i'm going with (lad's holiday) and what should be a good experience (excl. the corona), so that'll make it worth it.

It's one of several holidays I have planned next year - one being a trip across europe.

Though corona could put the brakes on all of that.

Yeah personally I'd hold off on Vegas until this stuff until the vaccine is out and crowds start going back to Vegas. It's going to be empty compared to normal times and a lot of the fun is seeing all the people there and all the hot chicks everywhere.

Wasn't that ironic coming from a Dr. Detroit?

News flash, crowds are back in Las Vegas. 😛 Okay, not at the crazy pre-COVID levels, but I actually think that's a feature and not a bug.
Also OP said he's going in one year. I'm not good enough to predict where we'll be then, but it's a good bet to think some level of herd immunity would have been reached. With or without good vaccines.

Just stop and think a bit. One of the closest relatives to Covid-19 is the common cold. Have we reached herd immunity to the common cold yet? Herd immunity for Covid-19 so far looks like a losing bet.

Good luck. My daughter and her husband went like the first week or two they opened the casinos up. They actually won quite a bit of money and came back healthy.
Dont think I would go now, though.
