Going to Vegas next week.....anything I shouldn't miss?

I'll be in Las Vegas next Tuesday - Saturday. I've never been before, and I wanna try to do and see as much as I can while I'm there. To anyone who's been, or knows alot about Vegas, is there anything there that I should absolutely, positively not miss???

Edit:

while I'm on this subject, does anyone have any recommendations for eating, or gambling, or just any good way to save some money while I'm there?

I'm staying at the Tuscany (some new hotel right across from Caesar's Palace)

well, the buffet at the bellagio roxors line is long though.

the bellagio is pretty kewl, the fountains in front are impressive, art gallery and all. i didn't like the casino floor much though, then againi don't gamble. the paris one is kinda ok for a quick walk through, hilton has the startrek experience newyork newyork is kinda neat, i rode the coaster. um venice is only ok, mgm is kewl and huge, luxor is ok, kinda getting old attraction wise. has some vr ride and imax ..if ur home city doesn't have i guess thats kewl. mandalay didn't impress me, caesers palace is always kewl.

Treasure island does a show in front of the casino with a pirate ship that is cool.

The ventitian (sp?) Is REALLY COOL to walk through

These are some pics I took while at Hoover Dam last year with my son. There is also a picture of the Venetian Hotel lobby, it is quite impressive.

The buffet at the Bellagio Hotel is a must! (incredible)
Hoover Dam is a nice visit. (breathtaking)
Ride the Rollercoaster at the New York New York Hotel (a blast)
Freemont Street experience at night. (wow)
The Rum Jungle bar at the Mandalay Bay Hotel is a blast. (try a couple of their house drinks)

I ended up spending about 9 days in Las Vegas. Since I had allocated so much time, my friends and I spent 2 days total heading to and seeing the Grand Canyon (~5 hr. drive each way). My god the Canyon is impressive. I actually ended up finally getting those pictures I took online last night.

If you are not going to any ranch, just ask the cab driver for a ranch "menu".....

Blue Man Group, IMO better than both "O" and Mystere and which I would rank #2 & #3 respectively. I heard good things about Danny Gans as well.

For free fun, the shows in front of Bellagio & Treasure Island & the Mirage (in that order) as well as the free show inside the Rio (if they still do it) which is a performed across teh ceiling of the casino.

Also, give yourself plenty of time to simply wander the various hotels, each has some unique characteristics that are usually worth the time to check out.

Bellagio is the best buffet, try it at least once.

I lked Mystere at Treasure Island, It was a fabulous show! Go to" Michael's" the restaurant in Barbary Coast, not well known. had dinner with Jerry Lewis there. Hoover Dam is cool, but I think you cannot go down inside since 9/11.
