Going to use vinegar to clean my car.... do I need to wash it off when done?

The inside of my car smells like a gas grill b/c I left it on in my garage with my windows down by accident. I got some white vinegar and febreeze. I plan to febreze the upholstry and I wanted to wipe down the windows and plastic with some white vinegar.

Do I have to wash off the vinegar when I'm done?

I'd say if it streaks/smudges then yes, other wise no. You'd probably get a more reliable answer form the garage forum.

Do not do that. Use Ozium first.

Start your car, roll up the windows. Turn the vent, not A/C, on and place it into recirculate. Spray Ozium near the floorboards in front of the front seats. That's where most air intakes are located. Quickly get out of the car and let it "cook" for 10-12 minutes.

What you're attempting to do is to get the Ozium to circulate through the vent system and clean it out.

I don't think vinegar will be terribly effective at getting rid of the smell. It's weakly acidic as well...so yeah, wash it off.
