At first I thought this was a space exploration movie (that's what I was hoping for). After seeing some of the TV previews, I dunno what kinda movie it is.

she was in ronin too.

i really enjoyed the russian version of this film, although it was really long.

Earth loses contact with a space station orbiting planet Solaris. After six months of silence, they send in special forces, but they disappear without a trace. This movie is based on a book that was written in the early 60's by Alexander Lem, and is considered a remake of the 1972 Russian film that followed it. The book and film are widely regarded as some of the deepest and most serious works of science fiction ever, and many modern films have their roots in them - most recently, and most noticably, movies like Sphere and Event Horizon, both of which i loved.

While watching the trailer, my first thought was, "Gee, that looks like it could be a prequel to 'Event Horizon.'"

I actually read the book long time ago. The story line is pretty good and keeps you on the edge. The only thing I didn't like was the ending, it kinda left you hanging. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the movie has a different ending. I would go see it.
