Good restaurants to check out, any must-see sporting event, places to visit/take pictures at, etc.?

EDIT: Thanks for all the suggestions, the sea lions at the Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 were adorable. Castro Street Fair was a little disappointing, but we found a place with good gyros and an awesome suit at "Out" (not sure about the name of the store?).

We'll probably be stopping by Berkely to meet up with Profit/AccruedExpenditure and his girlfriend. Or maybe they can meet us in Frisco, details TBD. :)

Is SF's Chinatown better than LA's? I really hope so, because LA's sucks. I haven't had good Chinese food in forever. :(

Is everything pretty close by, or very spread out? Thanks for the suggestions!

My favorite restaurant is House of Prime Rib on Van Ness & Washington. I highly recommend it!

Also, rent bikes and bike across the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a lot of fun if you can handle the hills.

Mmmmmmmmmm, prime rib. :D I'll put that on the list, thanks!

Biking across the Golden Gate Bridge sounds like fun, do you know how much it costs to rent bikes? I think I can handle the hills. :)

how about not calling it frisco?

Okay, San Francisco. Or SF, is one more politically correct than the other?

Just don't call it frisco. Either San Francisco or The City will do.

Ah, okay. The people we'll be visiting who grew up there refer to it as "Frisco", so I did likewise. I'll stick with San Francisco, it's a little more specific. :p

Dont get run over by Muni, I've got plans and dont want to get called in to fix your leg.

Renting a bike should cost around $30 a day, you can try and get Niner-Rams tickets, the Giants are playing as well but Im not sure if theyre in town or away.

Rice-A-Roni is made in Oakland.

I'd reccomend renting a bike near the Presidio and biking around there, the bridge and Crissy Field.

There are 2 Chinatown's in SF. There's the one the tourists go to and then there's the one with authentic Chinese shops and food. You need to find that one ;)

When I go to SF, I like parking at Fort Mason, which is free, and then walking along the ocean. You'll pass a pier, a small beach area, the Palace of Fine Arts, Crissy Field, and so on. It's really romantic.

If you walk the other way, you get the piers, specially pier 39 and stuff.

The weather this weekend is typical SF weather, so bring a light sweater.
