I was considering Cingular wireless since they have good reception back home where I live (the thumb of michigan).

What is the best plan/phone combo to get? I really like the v60 so far.

thanks

Cingular blows around here (just my opinion). It is always filled with static. SprintPCS user here. Also dropped calls are quite frequent with cingular.

Mind you I haven't been to Purdue in nearly 2 years but when I was there last my Sprint PCS phone worked ok in Lafayette but it had a lot of problems in West Lafayette.

They work great in West Lafayette now too. The only problem is that I dont get reception in some of the buildings on campus since they are pretty much bomb shelters.

For the V60, you have the choice of Verizon, or AT&T, both of which have a good network overall. The deals are better with AT&T for their version of the V60.

I just graduated from Purdue 6 months ago, I have SprintPCS - always worked great for me on campus.
